$174 later, my bike is shiny again. It's a lot of money; I didn't think it would amount to that much when I took it in. 

New cables, bar tape, chain, pedals and toe cage plus service fee. Is that expensive? Oh.. my backlight has conked out because of battery leakage so that's another $20+ I have to shell out soon. I shall have to start cycling to work every other day to cut back on transport expenditure, which is a brilliant idea on paper but I can't start till next week because the little one starts pre-school this week and I have to take him to school at noon. 

I also left behind 4 curry puffs meant for tea on the bus today. A little upset with myself about it. No tea! Boohoo.
